My Eve

Man oh man is Eve such a doll! She makes me laugh each and every day! She is spunky and knows what she wants. She is the more demanding of the two kiddles, but I don't mind. She makes my life so enjoyable! Boy, do I love this little girl!
"Reading the book that sings to me"
"Hi Mom! Can your tongue do this?"

Here are a few excerpts from her journal.

* David was holding Eve and letting her sit on his belly. He would then shake his head wildly back and forth. Eve would of course break out into HUGE grins. I'm glad she is easily entertained.

* Eve is a HUGE fan of the exersaucer that we got for Christmas. We opened it a bit early so the girls could try it out. Eve loved all the new toys and she even figured out that she could spin to see new toys.

* Eve and Savannah were playing in the jungle while Ben and I ate dinner. The next thing I heard was yelling from Savannah. It turns out Eve was exploring Sav's face and mouth and Sav wanted nothing to do with it. Love it!
"Who me? I'd never hurt Savannah"
* Eve finds the silliest things funny. Last night she was sitting on my lap and I was just kicking her legs against mine. She would just laugh and laugh. Oh, the joys of being a little friend.

* During sacrament meeting, I got out a bug rattle for Savannah to play with. When Eve saw it she lunged and reached for it but I wouldn't give it to her because Savannah was playing with it. For several minutes as Savannah was playing/looking at it, Eve would eye the bug and try to grab it. I finally decided to give in and let Eve have the bug because Savannah could care less. Eve was so happy to have the bug that she shoved the antennas in her mouth :)

* The girls had lots of daddy daughter time while I went to run errands. When I came back Eve was entranced watching Ben eat chips. Who knew that eating chips could be so fascinating to a little friend.

* Eve was laughing a lot today as Ben was throwing her up in the air, blowing on her belly and blowing on her neck. The girls are such happy babies!

* Eve has been obsessed lately with tags. I've been trying to entice Eve and Sav into crawling so I place their favorite items just out of their reach. Eve was okay with it at the beginning but then the tags were too enticing and she go SOOOO mad. I caved and moved the toys closer. Maybe that is why they haven't learned to crawl yet :)

* For Christmas, the girls got this giraffe where if you put the balls down it, it makes sounds. Eve has no interest in the balls. She just loves to hold onto the giraffe with both hands. At least she is enjoying playing with the giraffe.

* Eve was fascinated by the little boy sitting behind us at church. He had pretzels and small marshmallows (things she has never seen before) and he was shoving them into his mouth. I think Eve likes watching people eat ;)

* Eve is my little thief :) The other day I had the girls sitting on the blanket playing with the toys that are on the front of the walker that Aunt Lori let us borrow. Sav would only play with the ball that spins on the front if Eve wasn't already playing with it. As soon as Sav would start to play with it Eve would play with it. This continued for a while so I decided to get Sav a toy she could play with. I got out the stuffed hippo and Sav was having so much fun playing with it. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Eve getting excited and watching the Hippo. Next thing I knew Eve had reached for the Hippo and was the proud new owner. Sav once again had nothing to play with. I took the hippo from Eve to give to Sav. That arrangement only lasted a few seconds before each child had a leg of the hippo. Sav let go and Eve had the hippo once again. I then got out the rattle ball for Sav to play with. Sav plays with it by dropping it and picking it back up. She was able to play with for a minute or so before Eve saw it and was getting excited. Sav dropped it as usual and before she could pick it back up Eve snatched it. I took it back from Eve to give to Sav but a minute later Eve had it back in her hands. I then tried the bug. After a few minutes of the same scenarios Eve had the bug and was sucking on the antennas. I tried the frog with the bulging eyes but the same thing happened. After laughing quite hard I moved Sav a little farther away from Eve, the thief, so she could play with some toys.
"Ooh, that camera looks like a fun toy"

  1. I love it! Thanks for helping me get to know your daughter better. I just realized I have never seen them in real life. We have to do something about this distance relationship we have!
