The Girls!

Sorry for the bombardment of posts, but I had to do another one where I just listed a few things about the girls in general.

A few more excerpts about the girls from their journals!

* The girls are beginning to eat a lot better. We have now incorporated vegetables into our mix of food. Each time they eat the girls have some rice cereal and the vegetable of the day. So far we have tried carrots, peas, sweet potatoes, and squash. I would have to say that carrots and sweet potatoes were loved by both girls. I think they were just so happy not to have plain old rice cereal any more.

* I have tried letting the girls play with fruit loops and other small items while they are sitting in their boosters. The girls are getting much better at grabbing things, but they usually never wind up in the mouth. Eve would push them across the tray where as Sav would occasionally pick them up. Now they are both getting better at picking up small items. I'm sure in no time they will start putting things in their mouths.

* Eve and Sav are getting to be such good sitters. They both can sit for quite a while unattended while they play with toys. The hard part is getting the toys once they get out of their reach. Usually it ends up that someone is on the floor crying on their belly because of their failed attempt to grab a toy :)

* Both girls are infatuated with jewelry and love to pull on earrings and necklaces. To say the least I won't be wearing either of those things again for a while :).

* Today while I was finishing feeding Eve Sav was on the floor right next to me. Sav would reach up and touch Eve's bottle and then Eve's face. It was so cute. I love having cute little helpers.

* It is so sad. I judge how funny I am by if I can get two smiles. If I can get two smiles out of little friends for something that I do, then I must be hilarious :)

*Boy, are Ben and I luck to have these two little girls. We love them so much. Yesterday Ben and I were talking about how we couldn't imaging only having one baby. There is such a joy when you have two smiling faces who greet you each and every day!

* The girls are so funny at dinner time. They just love watching us eat. One day I was holding Sav on my lap and was drinking my water. Every time I took a drink her hand would come up and smack the glass. I tried to show her what was in it, but she wasn't too interested. She was only interested once I was drinking it. When Ben is eating an apple or chips both the girls are fixated on him. I guess they are trying to figure out what exactly Daddy is doing.
"Hey Eve, do you want to see my foot?"
"I think we are a bit too big to share this tub, Mom" (Eve top, Sav bottom)
"Mom, what are you doing?" (Sav in blue, Eve in purple)
"Look at us we are twinners!" (Sav red, Eve blue)
"WOW! That hand is so cool!" (looking at Eve's hand)
"I'm so happy" (Sav) "Boy is this finger tasty" (Eve)

  1. Yay for all the updates! I miss you guys so much, so it's wonderful to hear about all that is going on. The girls are so smiley and it's hilarious reading about the major difference in their personalities already. You are amazing for taking care of two babies at once! I don't know how you do it.

I hope everyone is feeling great now! Good luck with everything!

  2. Thanks so much for the blogs! I'm glad I got to hear how much Savannah growls. I've never heard a baby do that. It's funny your experiments with Eve the thief. What happy babies. They must feel loved!
