Football Season

With the school year starting again, there is one thing that Ben looks forward to. If you haven't guessed it is BYU football. Sadly, the upside of football comes with the downside of school. One more year and I will have all upside and no downside.

I guess Ben has been feeling football deprived because he will watch any football game he finds on. These last couple of weeks Ben has been watching old Mountain West Conference games on TV. This just makes me laugh. These games have happened a year to ten years ago yet Ben still loves watching them. He already knows the outcome of the game. What enjoyment could come from watching this game? You already said it. I'm football deprived. I guess he likes seeing the cool plays that happened. I found out recently that he only tends to watch the BYU games where BYU wins. Convient, I think. I guess this way he doesn't have to watch crummy football in which BYU loses. Of course it's convenient. Why would I want to watch them lose again?

He even watches NFL which I truly don't understand. Those guys are just doing it for the money and it is just plain boring. At least with college football the guys who are playing are doing it because they love it. I would argue that many of them play not only for the money, but also because they love the game. The money is just a really, really, really good bonus. But I agree that college football is more entertaining for me, particularly because I don't watch much of the NFL and have no real solid ties for any team. But hey, football is football. Who am I to argue?

If you haven't guessed already I am not a football fan. Ben says that he will someday convert me to not detest football. Or else die trying. There are two reasons I dislike football 1) It is WAY long 2) I don't understand what is going on. Ben says he will address the second issue this football season. We got season passes to the BYU football games since Ben is still in school. We will see if Ben can help me understand football :) The first college football game is tomorrow. It can't come soon enough.
