San Antonio

Last week I headed to San Antonio for work. I always thought traveling for work would be a blast but when I have to go on these short trips traveling doesn't seem so fun. I was only in San Antonio for about two days for a conference but it was sure nice. Here are some of my favorite things.
  1. It was WARM! I could walk from my hotel to the conference without a coat. Plus, we were right on the river walk so I could enjoy the beautiful scenery.
  2. The Alamo is actually very beautiful inside. I figured the Alamo would just be a fortress, but there were beautiful gardens and trees inside. I definitely learned a lot.
  3. I was able to see my Aunt Lynda and Uncle John! On Tuesday night I was able to go to dinner with Lynda and John. It had been at least a year since I had seen them last so it was nice to be able to catch up with them. As we were driving to the restaurant, John would point out different things, like the flood gates, shopping malls, or other beautiful buildings. John also informed me how to eat a tortilla, as an appetizer. For those of you who don't know it involves butter.
The trip was good but it was definitely nice to be home and to stop living out of a suitcase. Hopefully I won't have to travel again for a few more months.
