I want to be like Grandpa

On the weekend of September 10th, Ben went to Texas to see the BYU football game with some of his law school buddies. He was gone from Friday - Monday and as I didn't want to have to be alone with girls without anybody to relieve me I went to Providence to visit my parents. The girls and I headed up Friday morning and as usual they were gems in the car. I did time it pretty well. We left as soon as they were done eating.

It was great to head up to Providence and see my parents. I hadn't been up to Cache Valley for a while so it was fun vacation. The girls and I pretty much just lounged and hung out at my parents house. I was able to visit my good friend, Katie, and introduce her to the girls. It was so good to see Katie and to play with her little girl, Eliza. I hadn't seen Katie since she came to visit me at the hospital.

Of course, while I was home the girls and I went to visit Grandma Great (Grandma Allan). She absolutely loved holding the girls. The last time Ben and I went to visit my grandma the girls weren't in the best of moods. This time the girls were a little more pleasant. After visiting my grandma we then went shopping! It is amazing how fast the girls go through clothes.

My parents seriously spoiled me rotten while I was there. We went on walks with the girls, talked, watched movies, and just hung out. When we got home on Monday I noticed that Eve had picked up a lovely habit from my dad.

If you notice Eve has one foot inside her sleeper and the other foot out. This is exactly what my dad does when he gets too hot. He takes one sock off thus he is not too warm and not too cold. Eve must have thought this was a great idea as she took a long nap with one foot in her sleeper and the other foot out!

While in Cache Valley, we tried to capture a few pictures of the girls smiling. These really aren't the best quality pictures, but the girls are pretty cute.

Thanks Mom and Dad for the great weekend!

  2. So funny, that Steve takes off one sock! I think that is a great strategy too. Thanks for sharing, and I loved the pictures of the girls interacting too. They will always have the other to entertain them and keep them company - so sweet!
