Before, we headed to Cache Valley for Christmas we decided to go to Temple Square and see the lights. Ben picked me up from work and we headed to The Pie for dinner. The Pie is this pizza place up by the University of Utah campus. Ben absolutely loves this place. He always get jealous whenever I go there for lunch. We ordered some delicious pizza and then headed off to Temple Square. I wasn't really dressed for the occasion. I had a warm jacket but I was wearing my work clothes (dress pants) which means things were pretty cold. Ben and I had a good time walking around Temple Square seeing the nativity, Christus, and the lights. While we were at the reflecting pool taking a picture, I heard someone call my name. I look over and see my best friend's husband. They were at temple square seeing the lights with their son. It was way fun to be able to see them considering we don't head up to Logan that often anymore.
A few days later, after I got off of work, we headed up to Cache Valley to spend some time with Ben's family. I feel like such a slacker because I have absolutely no pictures from Christmas. Thus, you get to deal with my awesome descriptions of what happened. We stayed with Ben's family for about a week. This consisted of many hours of playing games, wii, and talking with family. Ben and I are really into playing games. For Christmas we got quite a few new games and we bought games for his family. Because of this fact, Ben became the official rule explainer. he was a pretty good sport about it and it was definitely fun in the end. I would say our two new favorite games are Wii Sports Resort (Thanks Lori) and Killer Bunnies (Thanks Joyce and Kyle). Here are some favorite moments from Christmas
- Playing hours upon hours of games with family.
- Eating delicious food.
- Laughing at the chaos that ensued while everyone was playing The New Super Mario Bros. It makes it pretty chaotic when you have four people playing that game instead of one.
- Going on walks around Smithfield.
- Playing with nieces and nephews
The next week we headed over to my parents' house, but you, my friend, will have to wait for another post. :)
Sounds like you had a great Christmas and the lights look so pretty! I need to go see them one of these years!
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice a trip to Idaho - what's up with that?
