Honeymoon

For our honeymoon, Ben and I went to San Diego for about a week. It was absolutely gorgeous. My great uncle was kind enough to let us stay at his house while he was away for the summer. His house is about 15 minutes from downtown San Diego. We definitely owe Uncle Mont a huge thank you for letting us staying in his house.

On our first day we went to Balboa park. This place is so beautiful. There are a ton of different museums, plus the wild animal park, and the zoo. Ben and I just enjoyed ourselves by walking around the park and partaking of the beautiful views.
On Tuesday we went to Sea World! I think this was one of the activities both Ben and I were looking the most forward too. I honestly felt like a little kid around Christmas time especially when we got to see the shows. We saw the dolphin, killer whale, sea lions/otters, and the Cirque de la Mer show. I really enjoyed the dolphin and the killer whale shows. It is amazing what they can train those animals to do. The Cirque de la Mer show was sort of like a circus but near the water. They had these amazingly strong people doing all sorts of acts it was pretty interesting!

The funny part about Sea World is that Ben and I both didn't put on sunscreen. To say the least by the end of the day we were both pretty red :)! On Wednesday, we went to the San Diego Temple and then we went to the Midway Museum. The San Diego Temple is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. We truely enjoyed the time that we got to spend there. We then went to Midway which is an Aircraft carrier. Ben and I had fun walking around the boat and seeing where the crew spent most of their time. I realized that I would not do well spending every day living on a boat. As we toured the boat there were fans posted throughout the boat. I highly doubt it was like that when it is in the water.

On our last day in San Diego we decided to see La Jolla Cove and Point Loma. Point Loma gives you this great view of San Diego and you are pretty close to the bay. Ben and I both loved being near the water and listening to the waves crash against the shore. Since Point Loma is near a naval base we also got to see some figther jets taking off, which was pretty neat to watch. La Jolla Cove was great because we actually got to walk on the beach and put our feet in the water. Walking on the beach made me super excited for the weather to warm up in Logan. I can't wait to go to Bear Lake!

It is weird being back in the real world with real responsibilities. Our apartment is almost all the way unpacked so I will have to show you some pics once it is in decent shape.
