FHE Moments

I have to write this down so I won't forget.  Ben and I have been trying to be better about having FHE each week.  Some weeks we do awesome and other weeks we don't do so swell, but what makes me the happiest is seeing what the girls get out of it.

The other week we talked about how we are children of God.  I had each of the girls stand up and we would ask who they were and then we would tell them that they are a child of God.

Today at breakfast Eve was pointing at different people around the table and asking who they were.

Eve: Who is that (pointing to Ben)?

Me: Daddy Miskin

Eve: Who is that (pointing to me)?

Me: Mommy Miskin

Eve: Who is that (pointing to Sav)?

Me: Savannah Miskin

Sav: No.  I'm a child of God.  (all said in a pouty voice)

I thought it was super cute.  Atleast she is remembering that she is a child of God.

A few weeks ago Ben taught a lesson about Nephi building the boat.  He had a cute activity where the girls would help him build the boat by cutting down the tree, sawing the wood, hammering in the nails, and raising the sails.  The girls thought it was fantastic!  At least once a week they ask if they can build a boat and we go about cutting, sawing, hammering and raising the sails!

They are such cute girls!
