Proud owners of a Christmas Tree

Can I tell you how much I absolutely love Christmas. I think Ben is a little bit annoyed with me because I have been asking him if we could get a tree for a couple of weeks now and just barely got one last night. He has been super busy studying for finals so we didn't really have much time to go out and grab a tree. I know you are thinking, "Chelle, you live in an apartment why do you want a Christmas tree?" Well I will tell you, our apartment is pretty drab because there is absolutely no Christmas festivity. Since we are not going home for Christmas until the 23 I thought it would be a good idea to have our own Christmas festivities up. I forgot that what I have of Christmas decorations are all at my parents' house. We don't have a ton of room at our apartment to store things so a lot of stuff is still at my parents' house.

So for our first Christmas, I thought it was only appropriate to have a Christmas tree. It is just a small Christmas tree since our apartment is kind of small. I think some Christmas stuff is better than none. So last night we went to Wal-mart and purchased ourselves a little Christmas tree and some decorations. Last night was so great! We put up our Christmas tree turned off the lights and watched the lovely glow while listening to Christmas music. After that we decided to watch a Christmas movie and decided on Elf. I can't wait until we can go home for Christmas. That only leaves us 3 more working days. I think I can hold on a little bit longer:)

  1. I thought you said your Christmas tree was only 3 feet tall. The one in the picture looks way taller than that (and very pretty). I'm glad Ben finally let you get one!

  2. That is definitely something Grandma Hurst would have done. How she loved everything Christmas.
